Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 

Incorporated on June 6, 1910, Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 is the longest running provider of emergency services in Hazlet Township. Our membership has been and remains comprised of 100% volunteer firefighters. The time and training required to become a firefighter is extensive. The membership donates their time to the betterment of the community.

Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 is proud to celebrate 100 years of Service in this, our Centennial Year.

Years ago, Hazlet Township instituted the Hazlet Fire District #1. The District is managed by 5 elected Fire Commissioners and is the employer of the Township Fire Official and the support staff for the office of Fire Prevention. Hazlet Fire Company #1 is one of 3 fire companies supported through taxation by the district. The other two companies are:

West Keansburg Fire Company  

This measure assures the volunteer firefighters spend their valuable time in training and fire suppression instead of fund raising. We thank the residents of Hazlet Township for their continued support.
