Our Membership

Today, Hazlet Fire Company No. 1 fields approximately 45 Active
Firefighters supported by another 25 Life Members.

There are 7 Cadet Trainees in our Explorer Group.

Our members all maintain full time employment outside of the fire company

and donate their “off-time” to answering calls and maintaining required

training levels. 

Members are required to attend vigorous training classes held at the

Monmouth County Fire Academy to become Active Firefighters.

Internal Company Training Drills as well as Township Drills occur on a

regular basis as well.   

Active Members must be 18 years or older. Cadet Members must be14 years
